Hong Kong Day 4, 27th Oct 2010

Breakfast, at a very old Dim Sum Teahouse :)

Lin Heung at Wellington Street, Central.

A difficult place to find. We went into many small streets before reaching. It is famous because its one of the rare teahouses where trolleys of dim sum will pass by your tables. And, you will still be able to see spit toons around the corners. Haha.. Disgusting? Just concentrate on the food! Quite a neat and clean place after all.

Please dont ask me the names of these dim sums, I have forgotten about it. Most importantly, we just stood up and chase after the trolleys whenever the staff top up with new baskets.

Chee Cheong Fun! Char Siew's one the best! Not forgetting water chestnut cake!

Yeah, the signature dim sum, Siew Mai.

Happy kid with his hard earned Siew Mai. He stood for around 5-8 minutes infront of the kitchen, waiting for his Siew Mai. Hahaha...

The order piece in my hands, you should remember to carry this along before snatching your food. Aunties need to stamp on this slip for your orders.

It was around 9am when we reached, lots of local people have already gotten their seats and reading newspapers away.

Sneeky fellow.

Afterwhich, we went to Langham Place at Mongkok. Quite a boring place as compared to 2 years ago... What happened?...

The longest and tallest escalator in Hong Kong shopping mall. Langham Place is a 13 storeys high shopping mall!

At Tsui Wah Restaurant, Central. Kway Tiao Soup.We went back to Central due to the boredom at Langham Place. And we couldnt find the other famous shopping centre at Mongkok. Think its call Aryle Centre.Where you can get cheap buys...but mission failed in finding the place.

Butter Toast. Though simple but bread has never tasted so crispy ever!

Swiss Chicken and nissin noodles.

At Tsui Wah, the must order is Pork Bun! You will never regret. The juicy meat sandwiched in the bread has left a deep impression in my memory!

Crispy Noodle.

Before night fell, we made our way to the top, Peak Train.

The history of Peak Train since 1950s I guess.

The present image of Peak Train.

Inside the train. Ok, I can see that Uncle Ken was excited.

Three of us.

Wow! High High up!

Thanks for clearing the sky, Clouds dispersed!

Our journey at Madame Tussauds.
Clarence and Bruce Lee.

Pei Jie and Bruce Lee.

Tze Kai and Bruce Lee.
And it was my mistake all along. Bruce Lee was not shot to death while filming. He died at age 33 due to illness.

Michelle Yeoh

Li Bing Bing and Andy Lau.

Nicholas Cage.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

Lang Lang, the current famous pianist.

The skinny Jay Chou. Lol...

Janice Wei, a famous cantonese singer.

Haha...I think this is the woman who went famous because of her show that featured lots of Prada.

I bet this is the most look alike wax figure. Aaron Kwok.

Nicole Kidman.

Ayumi Hamasaki.

Who's this? Madame Tussauds!

Preview of an artist making the wax figure. Measurements are taken carefully from the real person. But what about those people who died more than a few decades ago? What a process right?

Jet Li. I think I have watched too much Kung Fu films to have come up with that pose. Haha...

Princess Diana. She got quite a pity life isnt it? I felt that she could have deserved better.

Welcome to our royal family.

The beginning of politics.

Uncle Ken posing beside President Obama. He's quite young at heart ya?

Oh, the man who created such history.

A famous high pitch singer. Only pianist Pei Jie will know and appreciate him I guess.

William Farquhar. Should be la. Its him right? I cant be wrong. :P

The two naughty childern making a mess of the portrait.

Little Mozart.

Paying attention to Mao ZeDong

Jiang ZeMin

Deng Xiao Ping. My boy can really act huh. Lol... They are just looking into each other eyes manz.

Proudly introducing Mr Lee Kuan Yew. His message hung on the wall, "If I have married a different woman, I would have been a different person." What a simple touching piece. He is a blessed man.

Albert Einstien

Astro Boy and Girl. "Ahhh!... Watch me with mighty strength!"

Lin Zhi Ling as Xiao Qiao in the movie, "Red Cliff"

The existing famous like cloud nine Chinese actor, Donnie Yen.

After the previous wax figure, we had a short scare in conjunction with Halloween period. Pei Jie and me wanted to give up but eventually, everything was dark inside and there was only one actor scaring us off. But the fact that we had to line up in single file and hands putting on each other's shoulders, reminds me of rumours heard from Old Changi Hospital. A desserted hospital during World War 2...in Singapore.

David Beckham. Ever since "he" arrived at wax museum, he has changed many jerseys. From Man United (different seasons) to Real Madrid and finally I think the association had decided to let him stay in England's Jersey.

Yao Ming, a man more than 2 metres. Clarence Dear was already 1.8m and yet still look like a dwarf beside the national basketball player.

You know whats the scolding for, Tiger Woods.

Japanese Sumo

I like this. Looks so matching.

I cant believe Big S was one of the wax figures as well. I couldnt recall which movie she acted in as policewoman. But on second thoughts, I think she is one of the less females from Taiwan that is growing in popularity in Hong Kong movie world.

Johnny Depp. We sail through the seas and storms with you!

Leon Lai.

007 James Bond.
Picture Number 1: I stay close behind you.

Picture Number 2: I shall take you down in surprise! Heh Heh...

Elvis Presley. We dance with you. Amazingly I do look like I am moving ya? My thumb was hooking up my jacket to create that feel. :)

King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

Madonna Queen.

Beyonce. She really got those huge hips and thighs.

Twins. Hong Kong celebrities.

Miriam Yeung, whisper into her ears, and she will respond.

Have I not mention that 27th October was Clarence Dear's Birthday as well? We planned to spend this day at Bubba Gump Restaurant. A place where dishes cost around the same as Fish n Co. But the taste are so much better and far more worth to be back for a second time!

When this notice is up, means the waiter will not be attending to you but busy with other duties he/she has.

When this signage is up? It means the friendly waiter/waitress will stop by your table and take down your orders. I love this idea. Because all waiters/waitresses will be very attentive to all tables. Instead of meeting poor service from waiters/waitresses that will take ages to respond your hands up.

Halloween decoration in the restaurant. We were hoping for a window view at dinner with admiring the Hong Kong's skyline at night. But we forgot to make reservations when we first arrive at Hong Kong. So, there goes our hope. But we were still lucky, we sat near to the window glass still. Quite an astonishing view.

Loves. Hope you have enjoyed your birthday dinner :)

Shrimps and shrimps and more shrimps! Fresh and crunchy! You cant miss out the ribs too. And forget about the salmon. :)

A number of them celebrated their birthdays over there as well. And we got the Bubba Gump's team to sing for us. Friendly happy people.

Happy 28th Birthday Clarence Dear :)

His loves.

What a cute cake isnt it? Ice cream cake from Haagen Dazs.

My little prince. lol...

I heart hugs in a cold freezing weather.

No joke ok, though it was 18 degree celsius all the while, but going up at the Peak was way below that degree. I bet it was 12-13 degree celsius with that continous strong gust of wind.

A safe corner to hide away from the wind.

Again, another spot to hide from the wind.

We should start learning how to take good night shots.

Photo taken by professional.

To end off our last night at Hong Kong, we shall party away with drinks at Lan Kwai Fong!
Beware, pirates attack!

"EEeee...someone was hang up there!" "Spiders Spiders!"

"Roar!..."

A Halloween celebration will be held on the 30th Oct. Just too bad we cant make it.

We chose a bar that was just beside the road sign, Lan Kwai Fong. And that spot made us into everyone's camera as backgrounds.

The kid that has grown up to be a man. Bottoms up!

I was the friendly photographer of a group of good friends. I kind of like the way bars are situated at Lan Kwai Fong. Because it kinds of promote communication between the different bars opposite and people walking pass by. Happiness is sharing.

Girls with our cocktails.

Uncle Lee with his Tsing Dao Beer. :)

Yeah Heh...

The empty glasses after the rounds.

See ya at the next last post of Hong Kong trip 2010!
