Hong Kong Day 2, 25th Oct 2010

Welcome to my Hong Kong Day 2! This day, we were all ready to set off to Disneyland! Before the magical journey began, we need to fill our stomachs full.

Waking up early and arrive at the Australian Dairy Company before 9am. We knew the queue will form any later. This store is located just next to Mai Man Kee wanton mee, near Jordan MTR.

The most satisfying and hearty breakfast. Toast that were thicker and well toasted than the ones in SG. I miss the macaroni with ham!

The shop's specialty: 蛋白敦鲜奶 in white and 杏汁敦蛋. My God, smooth and real taste of the ingredients. Nothing less input.

When we were done with our breakfast, the long queue was formed! Phew! We got seats earlier.

Setting off to Tung Chung Citygate Outlets for a quick shopping first. At the interchange, we took pictures at this significant station.

They look like one happy family. Thats good. And Uncle Ken wearing his purple top birthday gift from us :)

PeiJie who wants to shoulder the country's name.

The much more cheerful giving up your seats campaign poster as compared to SG's... Ok, so many complaints of my home town.

Kai's attitude VS amused PeiJie.

Yeah! Mickey Mouse train arrived! Look at me, I am the first to run down the stairs.

Clarence Dear with his all time favourite cartoon character, Donald Duck. "Quack! Quack!"

Smily Uncle Ken.

"My face fits into this! Mickey Mouse here I come!"

Hey, who says Uncle dont do posing?

Girls with the Snow White princess. Hmm, thinking of it, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is my first fantasy  childhood storybook.

"Now you know where I am heading to."

Alighted from the train.

Looks like a Toy Story cast here.

Making an entrance.

Not that the wind was blowing. But it was a very sunny day! 25 degree celsius!..

With our tickets finally! Into the main park! Clarence Dear said he saw people who took chips in. Looks like it wasnt as strict as before. :)

The jail bus.

Donald and Daisy!

Mickey and Minnie!

Halloween Balloons on sale! They brought lights to the kids at night :)

One of the band members. How friendly he was.

Sleeping Beauty's Castle in the day.

Map of the park in our hands. Lets head in further!

"Ahhh! the gates were coming down on me..."

Child's ride, Dumbo the flying elephant.

Our first show, The Golden Mickey Show. Be early in queues for the shows!

Grab the seats and camera smile!

Here the golden characters appeared right before our eyes!

Let the performance began!

Toy Story

The Hunchback Hero.

Mulan

Lilo and Stitch.

Little Mermaid and her best friend, Lobster.

Beauty and the Beast.

My favourite fairytale!

Here comes the main characters again!

Finale.
After this we went for another show, that is Mickey's PhilharMagic in 3D! Immerse into Donald Duck's adventure with Disney's fairytales.

The kid with his chocolate Mickey ice cream.

Parade started at 3.30 pm. Take note of the timings!

The giant Mickey with his magic wand making the opening.

Chip and Dale introducing the olden days of making cartoons.

Under the sea...

Donald and Daisy kissing.

Clarence Dear's hand reaching out. This is how you get the mascots close to you :) But Donald did not shake his hand and laughed at Clarence Dear somemore. Lol.. What a cheeky fellow.

Finally the castle with princesses, Mickey and Minnie.

Snow White who saw a similar kiddy version of herself. That explains her expression.

Enough of shows and off we went for the indoor high speed roller coaster!

PeiJie and Kai trying very hard.

Our late lunch at the food court.

Quite a nice mee when you are a hungry man.

What a cute stitch with his bubbles!

Buzz Lightyears :P

and the 4 kids.

Rapunzel Princess.

with the guys. She was a tall fine lady. And Kai was so worried that he will look shorter than her. See how striaght up he stood. Lol...

Belle.

As night fell, we did not managed to queue up for Cinderella and Snow White. In fact we saw Goofy, Mickey and Minnie mascots. But they were too popular to get a glimpse.

Castle lighted up for the night.

To Tarzan and Stitch's forest.

I love the river cruise ride. You get to experience splashes and heat of fire close to you during the ride. So fun!

Halloween Night began.

All 5 of us. Yes, with Uncle Ken. Lol...

Give me back my Bf!

Save me Kai!

Dear made an attempt to climb up this little mountain prop.

And Kai was shouting for help after the photoshoot, asking for help to get him down. Hahaha.. what a scene, what a timid boy.

I was one of the members...

Here we were at the beautiful shop houses, waiting for the fireworks at 730pm.

My love!

Halloween Mickey and Minnie.

PeiJie's turn.

The pretty interiors inside the shops.

Fireworks over the Sleeping Beauty's Castle.

Fireworks lasted for around 15 minutes.

Making our way back.

Thank you for visiting! Bye Bye Disneyland!

Tired faces marked the end of our magical journey. We had a late dinner at Da Pai Dong near our hotel and we ate hungrily. We had a slow walk at the Temple Street nearby too. Bargains are a must. Dont be cheated by the stallholders!

What a long post of Day 2! I cannot believe I sat at my PC desk for almost an hour plus doing up this. Too many memories to be taken down! :) Perhaps I may think of visiting a better Disneyland theme park in US or Japan in future. But, I think I will like to visit Warner Bro. Movie World in Australia first. :)
Stay tuned for Hong Kong Day 3!
