American Breakfast Set 1, toast, jam and tea. With..
Scrambled egg, saugages and ham! Wow.. satisfying!
Dear Dear's omelette. At Samran place, there is no breakfast buffet style as it is a small hotel. While munching through our food, we realised that there is this practice. The Chinese are usually the ones who will wake up extremely early to start their day. And the later ones will be the Westerners.
We both agreed that the toast with jam was really good!
My face was as white as a sheet. I am missing the food real badly!
At the entrance. Him.
Me :) Yes. I was in my sleeping pyjamus. haha..
Dear Dear with his vintage coke drink at our massage place.
We chosen this which is located around the Asia Hotel where we found good reviews on this on the net. We decided on foot massage which costs 100 Baht each. Which means SG$4 +. I thought my masseur was not that good. She wore super low cut blouse which led me to think that perhaps thats why she did not want to give me a good service. She preserves her energy for the MEN. haha.. These were the thoughts that came across my mind. Dear Dear's one was an auntie. Very professional lo..
Still cannot be compared to SG's Far East Plaza second floor's Thai massage. But I must say its really cheap at Bangkok.
Look, he is just like a kid. Oh well, he has never seen the BTS train even he last stepped foot on Bangkok since 17 years ago. Understandable. haha..We walked around MBK to find the Dim Sum which cost only SG$0.50-$0.60.
And the famous shop is call Mr Meng!
If you have trouble looking for it which one of my friends complained, look for this mascot outside the shop. I was quite sad on the first day when we came to look for it as it was closed early for dinner. We looked at the notice pasted but it was in Thai and ended up we ate at Yum Saap Thai Restaurant which is just beside it. These 2 popular restaurants are located along the shopping path towards Tokyu Shopping centre. So, imprint this info into your brain system!
The menu. The most expensive dim sum is only in 22 Baht! Oh my god.. And Dear Dear was shocked and happy with such good treats.
We had fish maw soup, (the soup base was hot and thick!) custard buns, har gow, siew mai, fried dumplings..and there is this delicacy I must introduce.
The chrysanthemum tea is a must try! A little bland with sweetness staying on your taste buds. They put in lots of herbs to boil such a good stuff out. Oh manz.. There is nothing like this in SG alright. Even if there is, it sure cost a bomb. But here, you get it with reasonable price.
"Wa!.." hehe..gluttony..
At the new Shopping centre, Central World.
The shrine outside Central World. We walked through the markets and "whacked" the Platinum again. This time, we came up with a strategy route to conquer the big mall. Dear Dear said there were around 2000 shops inside. haha.. Shopping was great for the both of us as we need a change and topping up of Chinese New Year clothes. However the sad thing was Bangkok was not like before. Slashing of prices were difficult unless you are buying in wholesale. Else they will just ignore you and entertain the other customers. So sad! but its still cheap as compare to buying in SG la. Even at SG's bugis street ok. Because you cant get the same item at bugis street.
After the whole afternoon battle with shopping, we took a rest at the basement and enjoyed our crepes. The crepes was crispy and we had pork floss, ham and chocolate as ingredients. hehe..
I encouraged him to take a tuk tuk ride to hotel and unload our goods. Its 17 years ago la!.
We headed down to Suan Lum Night Market for food and shopping again. But this time round, shopping was far too expensive and unreasonable. Food was still alright and ex too. Suan Lum has changed ever since 3 years ago I went. The flyer was gone too. Happy faces of the stall holders were gone too... How time flies..
And this is our loots of second day. Anticipating the third day!
As usual, I am drooling at this hour to blog about food! Argh..
