Christmas 2010

On the 19th of Dec 2010, after we created a mess in my kitchen, I headed down to Donna Carmela, Hillcrest Park with Clar Dear and his cousins. It was one of the posh and expensive meal we had since ages ago. Food was splendid and wine was sweet, we had songs and went merry the whole night. Lets feast on the pictures of the event, Christmas!

This is call the Burrata. Some sort of cheese and it tasted spongy. It was my first time and I think its good enough as the cheese foul smell was not present.

White wine toasting. The kid behind us was obviously nonchalant.

Cheers to Christmas 2010!

MinJie and PeiJie.

With my pasta that contains 6 different types of mushrooms. I love mushrooms! But I prefer Clarence Dear's. Pasta with caviar. Ooosh..perfect match.

Macaroons, made by Peijie's friend.

The people who has left imprints on PeiJie's life :)

The friendly Italian singer who push our happiness to the climax.

Before the dinner, we had hours of baking cookies. Most of us going for the first try. :) And the one in yellow? The least contributor in the whole process. Lol...

I invited the cousins over to my place for baking session and I thought as it was our first time, we should not over estimate our capability. Hence, I chose the ready made cookie flour packet. But we still need to mix the butter, oil and eggs by ourselves.

The egg breaker, Tze Wei.

The first batch. It was quite oily. Afterwhich, we cut down on it.

Busy at work...

In the oven! Remember to drop dough size not larger than a 50 cents coin! It will spread out while heating.

The chocolate chunk dough.

Told ya, they spread out!

We tried out chocolate chunk and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Oatmeal was not as sweet as chocolate chunk and it has a stronger butter taste.

Randomly, we added heart-shaped sugar decoration.

Into the christmas wrapper for our loved ones!

And on the Christmas Eve, we had even more fun gathering at Clarence Dear's Ah Ma's place. Everyone were present to exchange gifts and this involved the adults too. Uncles and Aunties. How heart warming can it be!

The funky cousins posing.

I love what cousin PeiJie gave to her parents. A cow shaped frying pan, mug and new bedsheet. So detailed and loving of her.

Auntie Patricia's bought vanilla log cake from Cedele.

The overwhelming gifts.
I chose Auntie Linda in drawing lots for exhange. Hence I bought an umbrella from Esprit which I thought it will be useful either in the sunny days or rainy days. She loves it so much. Dark purple pink in color and the material dries up fast if you use it in the rain.
Oh ya, I bought Clarence Agnes' b passport holder as his passport is going to tear anytime. I slotted a meaningful card to accompany him whenever he go overseas.
In exhange, he gave me a necklace from SK jewellery that is a cross in a heart. So nice! I will try to wear it often!

Tze Wei's mango cheesecake. He considered it a failed attempt as you can see, the sides were flowing over after the mould was taken out. He was disappointed but many of us like the taste. However, I dont like the thick mango puree. It was too sour for me.

Ta dah!

We ended the day with different new bought games. Sabborteur to Piss Artist and Drinking board games. I couldnt survive till the last game as I was dread tired from work previously. Hence, I was the first to sleep. Nevertheless, Christmas 2010 ended happily as I think this year, I have no hangovers and I really enjoyed family time. :)
Thanks to Clarence Dear and his wonderful family members for bringing so much joy to me. :) Love it.
