Hong Kong Day 1, 24th Oct 2010

Hey Yo! Get ready to feast your eyes with 50 photos of my Day 1 in Hong Kong!

Before setting off, at Singapore T2 Ya Kun. 6am plus...

Finally for the departure hall!

Tze Kai with his passport that caused him delayed at the few customs in the trip. Reason: his photo is not updated.

On the plane. We were travelling by Jetstar. And I hope its the last. I wana travel with SQ the next time! So uncomfortable with budget airlines...

Our newly bought eye masks for a good rest on the plane.

The one without his original...

Arrived in Hong Kong like a star. :) They were waiting for some Korean Boy Band.

On the Hong Kong MTR.

At Evergreen Hotel. Budget and cosy. Its clean and near Jordan MTR.

Walking on the Temple Street in the day. I love this pic. :)

To the mostly recommended wanton mee stall. Located near Jordan MTR.

When you are here, dont miss out char siew mee and wanton mee. Char siew that looks unattractive but tasted heavenly. And wanton that has crunchy prawns as filling. I can even heard myself chewing on the wanton!

Shui Jiao Kway Tiao that tasted ok. Its not their best in restaurant.

The famous Hui Lau Shan. Bf dun like it. But I dare to say it tasted differently thick from SG's. If you are a mango's fan, go for the traditional dessert: Mango Sago.

My most recommened : XO sauce carrot cake. Yumz! Spicy and crispy!

Mango Platter.

Three kids with their Uncle Ken.

When you are bored on the train...

The biggest H&M store at Central. :)

The guys outside IFC mall.

Largest Agnes'b store at IFC mall.

Agnes'b cafe!

Try their hot chocolate drink and not their hazelnut coffee. :)

On the "Ding Ding" bus.

Posing in the middle of Causeway Bay Road. Why not? U will never see me dress up like this in SG anymore.

Trying out the Hong Kong like movie's , "we brushed against each other's shoulders without saying hi"

The happiest boy with his loots.

Reached at the Modern Toilet's Restaurant! You got to walked into a big Watson store near SOGO. At level 4. Quite a difficulty to locate.

Constipated.

I seriously have no idea what I was trying to do.

Shit was too heavy to carry.

Kai's face into the poo! Top news on his fb! haha...

The bowel that carried our food.

Uncle Ken who is open minded with such restaurant concept.

Bf got a headache with the food from bowels.

Peijie's amazed by the fishball shaped like a poo. How detailed can it be.

No pee please.

Big Ice Kachang that tasted like drinking water... seriously. But the rest of the food was nice.

Roadside stall at Ladies street.

I simply love this pic. It kinds of reminds me of those movie poster that probably titled "My Hardship Days in Hong Kong"

Bubble tea.

So cute right? Friendly MTR poster.

At the telephone booth.

Day 1 was a super packed schedule. No choice, we only have 5 days 4 nights. With Day 1 gone, left with 4 days now. Ahhh!

Its greatly good to be at home.

Back from Hong Kong!
I feel so much better to be at home this time. Though I dislike the humid and hot weather in Singapore.
This trip is a full mixture of feelings and that perhaps I will never disclose the details. Oh well, when the photos are here, I will talk more about it again. CiaoZ people.

Food Adventure: Pornsak's Porn's

The plan was to head off to East Coast Park for cycling. And it failed! We felt it was a scorching sunny day and hence we changed our plans to visit a SG celebrity, Pornsak's restaurant.

Newly opened Porn's at Liang Seah Street. I think "Porn" in Thai means delicious. :)

The simple menu.

I love the backdrop on the wall! Its a map of Thailand with many cute elephants enjoying different activities that are common in that country.

Cooling coconut drink.

Pineapple rice that tasted differently as compared to other thai restaurants.

This plate of fried Tofu is a MUST order! Crispy on the outside and tender soft inside!

I have quite forgotten this name for the dish. I think its called "Drunken Mama ..Mee". Its seafood noodles that is super spicy and salty. Quite nice but I ran on mouthfuls of drinks later. Lol..

Thai milk tea.

Overall, I will rate it around 6.8 for food and 7 for environment. Service was hard for judgement for a Saturday. It was superly packed and we were lucky. We have Apple Hong, Xu Mei Zhen and Michelle Chong as companions for lunch too. Lol...

Meeting Pornsak was a rare chance. He had been running in and out of his restaurant and always wearing a wide smile. Greeting us happily. After lunch, we went to Vivocity. There, within around 45 mins time, we saw Pornsak again. Amazingly, he recognised us and greeted a big Hello to us among the crowd. An extremely friendly celebrity ya? He has left us a very good impression.

If there is chance to avoid the crowd on weekends' dinning time, do drop by the newly opened Thai restaurant. Reasonable affordable price of unique Thai food. :)

Time is never enough and Reflections of the past

Workload is increasing nowadays and I hate to go home late everyday when it can be avoided! Argh...
I just pray that I will pass my mock calls test tomorrow :(
And that Dear Dear's health will be restored before our HK trip...which is like 2 weeks later...

Reminscing the very last footsteps on HK island in 2008...

At Lao Jie, Shenzhen. A rowdy place!

Da Pai Dang near our hotel

Checking of exam results while enjoying a holiday trip. Lol...

Breakfast on one of the days, nissin noodles that tasted okok...

Outside Times Sqaure, at Causeway Bay

Love this pic the most...

The day when they felt a little sick...良药苦口

Victoria Harbour at the back. Enjoying the cool breeze by the sea...

Strong gust of wind blowing us away...

Posing at one of the main roads in Lan Kwai Fong. Love this pic too. And I am proud to hang that signboard in my bedroom till now. :)

Drinking at one of the pubs...

At the peak....

Da Li Shan.

Never mind of the person standing ok? Good.

Arrival at the Disneyland finally.

After the fireworks behind the castle.

At the agnes'b cafe. IFC mall.

Yums...

Taking a feel of "Ding Ding"

Picture of "Ding Ding"

At Staunton's cafe. SoHo.

Leaving... 2008....

And a picture paints a thousand words...

And in 2 weeks time, till we meet again HK. In preparation mode now...

24th September, Double Birthday Blessings for the Boys!

It was my first time organising event for the group! My poly mates. :) Clarke Quay shall be the venue!

We had SongFa Bak Kut Teh for dinner, Haato ice-cream by the river and drinks at Indochine. My, it was quite stuffy and warm to sit outside of the restaurant. But its a Friday, its like a Public Holiday human traffic!
http://www.songfa.com.sg/ - MOST RECOMMENDED!

At the Haato...

Mini Cakes from Barcook Bakery....

Simply glad that Dear Dear made it for the celebrations. :) Now, he knows who I hang out with :)

At the Indochine....
JunQuan, whose birthday falls on the 15th Sept 1986.

Winston, whose birthday falls on the 17th of September 1986.

I have handmade the cards for them till wee hours after work! Drained out, but I was thinking that there was a need to put in alittle effort as we were already giving cash as presents. I think its due to nobody's got the time to shop for gifts. :P

I like this page that says 2 years back, when all of us were young at 22 and 23, camping at the beach and playing sparkles. Try talking about any camps to working adults like us, nah, getting real old for that fun.

Me and CY! :) I hope she is doing fine at her new environment.

Isnt this splashes of water so amazingly bright? :)

It was a great time. And Fridays are getting more and more important to me. There are only 52 of them in a year. Where I have to start counting down whenever I find myself working on Monday. Work is draining and tough! Oh well, like the saying goes. 少小不努力,老大徒悲伤。
Jiayou people! Live Life!
