Chinese New Year 2011 Day 3

The day we went kite flying! Firstly, we bought our first kite at Sengkang sports complex and PeiJie drove us to Marina Barrage. The weather was fairly good and though dark clouds did drop by, God held the rain for us :)
With Marina Bay Sands as backdrop.

PeiJie said I was trying to be a kite.

Peijie's Daddy showing us the way.

And my boy teaching Peijie's Mummy.
Surprisingly, her parents came to visit us and joined us in the fun for awhile. Everyone is growing interest in kite flying.

When there were only 2 kites, not enough to cater for the 9 kids, We started taking photos.
I have never been good in shots involving jumping. 1st attempt, failed. Should have tied up my hair.

XiaoJie spreading out her legs wide, PeiJie maintaining position of her skirt and Tze Wei's gf makes jumping seems to be as easy as ABC.

I tried my 2nd attempt, tied up my hair for sure. But why you cant see me? Because of naughty Tze Wei!

I seriously think this is cute. Like some random pop band singers' poster.

Ok, back to basics of photo posing.

Us.

The boy who went NS and lost his hairy hair now.

Us again.

I like the sunset behind.

More of us.

The latecomer, Lim Tze Kai! I dont know whats this shot but he looks kind of artistic with the string of the kite, seems like cutting him up.

My boy with our penguin.

PeiJie trying to do it herself again.

Where was I looking? Beats me.

Oh, the same usual group who tried to cut our penguin away.

By Tze Wei and his gf.

The tired smelly group at the end of the day.
Lets buy more interesting kites and fly together once more!

Chinese New Year 2011 Day 2

And the visits continued...

Early in the morning, Clarence Dear arrived at my house and sent greetings to Mummy. Before he came, Mummy bought The Newpaper and they had a big angbao coming with it. Upon seeing the big angbao, I suggested to Mummy to present it to Clarence Dear. :)
Cute right? Too bad I was not too good with Iphone cam yet.

Small angbao in the big angbao. :)

Caiying Hazel invited us to her house at Redhill. Its been years since I stepped into her cosy house. Think it was since we graduated from polytechnic, around 4-5 years ago? Oh no... aging... And thats her doggy named Valentine. What a messy hair she has, and she was always hiding under the table.

I brought Lo Hei to her house as I recalled our group has never had Lo Hei before. We must do it this time and make it meaningful! I think Lo Hei signifies everyone's presences as well.
My friends since my teenage years in poly. One of us is married. The guy in yellow! Winston.

Many of them arrived late and I had to make an early move to Clarence Dear's Auntie's house. So I insisted on invidual shots with each of them.

Zhenni. Our favourite cook and baker. :)

Junquan, the man with few words. However, with creativity loading in his brain.

Winston, the jovial and approachable guy. Now a responsible family man.

Vinz! My only poly friend who is with me through ups and downs since poly year1.
We studied together, completed projects together, shopping together, travelled together and lots more.
Those were the carefree days manz.

Caiying, the dancer. She will be around when you need her.

All of us! Lo Hei ar! May the new year be a smooth sailing one.

Afterwhich, Dear and I rushed to Jurong and met his parents. We went to his Auntie's place together and its steamboat time again! No photos to present. But I just wana say I like quail eggs in steamboat! Because Mummy thinks they are high in cholestrol hence I will have quail eggs once a year at my Auntie's house. However, she will also prepares a few only. That night, during steamboat, I think I had 5? Lol...

More happiness bloating for the next day. :)

Red little bag for oranges from my office. Happy Chinese New Year!

Chinese New Year 2011 Day 1

I love Chinese New Year! When there is a variety of food and lots of them! Ba Gua (Roasted pig), Egg rolls, steamboat, dumplings, lo hei, many of these that will rarely appear everyday. :D

Eve of Chinese New Year, most important meal, Kor Kor came with Da Sao to stay over one night for Reunion Dinner. :) Loves!

He has been keeping this t-shirt I bought from HK! Open ceremony for this cute t-shirt, ushering the Chinese New Year!

Oh my god, Lo Hei! I love this! Especially the generous slices of salmon.

This year, we had steamboat. Last year we had hainanese chicken rice. Still a hearty one.

Fried dumplings! Mummy said we must have them every year as she thought they symbolises ingots.

Aww, so loving.

My dad loves to pose too. :)

After counting down to CNY, many of us went to dreamland in seconds. Tired from work.
When daybreak, Mummy has woke up early to cook carrot cake for us. Yummy. Mummy said it is another must have dish during new year as it symbolises prosperity.
Oh I miss this yearly breakfast so much!

After Kor Kor went home to prepare for Malaysia trip, the rest of us got ready for Auntie's home.
I have dyed my hair for light brown. But I did not highlight. Beats me for that strands.

In the evening, I went to Clarence Dear's house for dinner. Look, that were his artwork. Made from cheery tomatoes. I love eating yearly CNY dinner at bf's house. The dishes were also hard to come by in any other ordinary days. lol...

The Kids in the house.

And the adults watched us posing as rabbits for the Rabbit Year.

With his loves.

The naughty cheeky boys' family. Lol...

Frankly speaking, when we finished taking photos, it was only 9 plus. Many of us wanted to end the day with a movie but to no avail.
Ktv was expensive too.So we headed to Kovan's Xing Wang. It was crowded with all the night owls!

Min Jie and Peijie looking really demure. :P

Out of boredom, we decided not to leave the naughty boys out as they cant join us. They were asked to go home early by their parents. Hence we shared our supper photos with them. Whatsmore, whatsapp on iphone is free!

Clarence Dear's Mum joined in the fun too! The boys were really sad, each of them leaving remarks like "All of you are so bad!"

Final attack, using Tze Kai's favourite Har Gau and Siew Mai.

And pathetically, Tze Wei tried defending with empty cup, acting to drink coffee.
Lol...

Eve of CNY and Day 1 was a great fun annual event! yeah!
