Says Goodbye Zen

Wana know how bad is the political unrest in bangkok?
Just one picture alone tells everything.

Picture taken from http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/opinions/editorials/off-with-their-shirts-in-thailand/article1574783/

I was there taking pictures this January. The flag stood on a ground supposedly to be a fountain. And now, its dark, gloommy and Zen plaza, part of one of the biggest shopping malls in SEA, Central World, is now facing a possibility of collapse. If it does, its a huge impact I guess. Its either going to hit the major roads infront of Big C shopping centre, or hit the BTS, bangkok's most convenient transport trains' railway. Or maybe hitting the next tower of Central World.

Number of deaths are increasing since protest in March. I wonder when will all these end and how.

Am Loving This Song

Its a dug out session for S.H.E.'s albums I have over the years. And this song has regained its "My Top Favourite Song" in my heart and mind now.

From album, Superstar:

*Repeat

My first Little Friend!

For 23 years plus, I have never carry a baby or an infant, with jelly like hands I first carried her. With the help of Clarence Dear.

And now, I successfully carried her myself and she was comfortable in my hands. And ya, though 1 year plus old, she was really a weight.

Look! Cute right? She is Natalie Chew. You can call her Nat Nat but she will still barely respond to that unless you present food. I was told that she hardly let anyone hold her hands and walk. Let alone taking pictures of her. But she did it just for me! haha.. I cant deny she likes me!

Another picture of her! Awww...

And before I end off, let me highly recommend you something. Hilton's cheesecake. If you have not taste Hilton's cheesecake before, you have never tasted a real cheesecake yet. It costs only $7+ per piece. Grab it, if you can eat cakes at other cafes.

Ciao ppl!

My Birthday 2010

Happy 24th Huixian! Thats me. Thanks to Vinz for that cute strawberry cake that had berries tasted a little sour though. :)

Hazel Zhou Caiying, Penny Wee Huixian and Vinz Toh Qing Lin

I love the cake design! Especially with that ribbon! Has anyone told you a red ribbon will bring good wishes and good luck? Thanks, my beloved friends!

The kitchen helper. Lol.. She's pretty.

And they got me a black luggage bag that I requested for. A million thanks. It will come to good use for my upcoming HongKong trip in Oct. :)

Presenting the Sorry Sorry dance. Lol.. I am still quite "in" ya?

I just love this! Great job there!

I miss my havaianas.. It broke after 3 yrs...

At Yun's house while mahjong-ing. Its strawberry shortcake! Ok.. my face looks nerdy. But I dont care! Its my birthday ok. haha.. Thanks Yun and her mum for treating me to a good lunch!

This year, there is not much celebration from Susan's side. Mandy, Sus and Melissa treated me at Watami Jap restaurant. It doesnt taste that well as compared to when I last visited during Christmas 2009. The 3 of them bought a G2000 black Blazer for me. And I love it. I lost mine when I was having prata. haha.. This suit will bless me for the upcoming new job I will have! Yeah girls, Thanks!

And from my SIM friends, they got me a clutch-cum sling bag from Topshop and an Egyptcian looking necklace. Haha..I tried it, and received good feedbacks. Thanks!

By the way, this group is named P3MT. Perfect 3 and Mutou. Perfect 3 refers to left to right, Me, Andrew and Chun. Mutou is Joyce. haha.. She is a bit slow than the rest to catch what we say at times. These are my only 3 friends who accompanied me through my sophisticated life in University. Oh..those were the days...

I am glad, at my age, I still have a bunch of good friends who will always be there for me. Love ya!

Valentine's Day and My Birthday

Valentine's Day was on the first Day of Chinese New Year. Hence, we had an advanced celebration on the 10th, Wed. This was our first Valentine's Day together. :) We went to JB, City Square Mall, Massage and dinner at 大马花园.

And on my birthday itself, 17 Feb, we went back to the same places. Singapore is too small!

We went to JB and tour around City Square Mall. Its been a real long time since I last visited JB. I think the very last time was during my early Uni times. The causeway has changed to a much more clean and safe route. But a longer one. And now, you can never take many "white cards" at a go. The officer in charge will distribute 1 to 1 person.

We had Thai massage at the same place in City Square Mall. Shop's name is "Thai Odyssey".

A foot massage and Traditional full body Thai massage on 2 different days.

Had a room for just 2 of us. Pardon my Blackberry 2 megapix. I know it sucks..

We had changed clothes!.. Very cheap prices and good services!
Foot massage 60 mins for RM50, which is SGD around $25. Traditional Full Body Massage 60 mins for RM75, which is SGD around $37.50. In my hometown, it will cost $100 ++ for full body massage!..
We watched a movie too, 72 Tenants. And its in Cantonese. I like to hear the real voice of each actor and actresses. It sounds more real. But poor Dear Dear has to bear with the subtitles because he cant understand Cantonese. Movies at Cathay City Square is only around $5! So happy! haha..

Next up, we had seafood!

And this is the place! 大马花园。Not only black pepper crabs we had tasted, there were crayfish, oats prawns and veggies. We shared a glass of sugarcane as it was quite big size. Everything costed us only around RM80+. In Singapore? oh no.. one crab is already that price.

Hehe.. I love this picture taken on a escalator.

On the first day of Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day, I went to his house for dinner and brought him my homemade butter cookies! hehe.. My first try. With the help of my Dad.

Heart shapes and stars. And as you can see, some of pieces were thick, some were thin. haha.. oops..

Dad's hand at work. Laying the cookies on the tray.

Into the oven!..

Decorated the butter cookies with Hershey's chocolates and chocolate rice. "J" for Jia Gui, my Dear's chinese name.
Into the container, with a heart shaped label saying "For My Valentine" :)

And DearDear says it tasted nice. hehe.. Cant believe I did it for my first try.

And on my home desk, an additional to my favourite corner. His handmade photoframe. hehe.. I was quite surprised by his artwork.

Here he appeared at my doorstep when the clock struck 12 for 17th Feb 2010. Thank you Dear Dear!

It was a great celebration. And next up, my birthday with my friends!

Passed my Driving Test at the First Time!

This is probably the best birthday gift I have given to myself since last year. In 2009, I have only given myself a Kate Spade Red Patent wallet which is so far, 2nd most expensive wallet after my Patent Miu Miu from my friends.

But this year, is even more expensive and meaningful. I am a qualified driver now! Though it was a long belated birthday gift due to the test dates, but I am a very happy girl now!

Before the test, I prayed many times to Lord for a not so old tester and friendly one. At the driving centre, I have never seen any young tester before. But on my test date, my Lord gave me a surprise. This tester is only in his 30s I bet. Hooray! First fear removed.Throughout the test, I was told to drive on this road that is much shorter than my usual practises. But Ubi is never a easy road to drive. Always be cautious. And if you are getting ready for a driving test, do gear up more in the circuit. Its there where they purposely want to catch your mistakes.

After the test, I met up with Dear to have a mini celebration.
At Somerset 313's Marche:

I must say I quite miss the Marche at Heerens long time ago. We had Marche Crepe that has ham, capisium sauce, mushroom butter sauce.. And its nice!

All time favourite : Rosti!

I think I really love Dear's hp Cam. Its 5 megapix, as compared to my lousy Blackberry...only 2 megapix. Damn it. And I cant take pics of Tavia Yeung when I saw her at airport a few days ago. Yes you are right. She was in Singapore for 1 day with Jessica Hsuan, Miu Kiu Wai, Bobby Ouyang and Eric Tsang Chi Wai for a private function at Hard Rock Hotel Sentosa. Ok I missed the pics with only Tavia Yeung's smily face imprinted on my memory now. She is superly slim and beautiful! Ok, back to me, the happy girl with driving license mailing to me in 4 weeks time.

Heh!
